Ponting rubs it in!
You can bet your last dime on Aussies to rub salt onto injuries. Ponting is doing exactly that and much more. He talked about injury to Flintoff earlier. How England are not the same without fully fit Freddie.
He has talked about how he and few Aussies skipped IPL to ensure being fit for duty of nation.
“With the amount of big tournaments we have coming up it was about making sure we were in the best shape.”
I am sure Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen would be reading those comments and it would hurt them. It might force them to rush their come back to prove him wrong.
It would play right into Ponting’s hand. You don’t want that to happen if you are Andrew Strauss.
With these comments Ponting is making life difficult for Poms!
