Warne: Gambler and great captain!
Shane Warne is magician with cricket ball in his hand. He is proving to be a great leader too. Is he trying to win over big sister with on field performances?
Mumbai Indians needed 4 runs in last over. No captain would have thought of making something out of it, let alone win it. Warne believed they could win it and his team did. He is not your typical captain.
Munaf Patel was clobbered for 14 runs in his last over. Captain throws ball to him to defend 4 runs. Warne showed confidence in his bowler to win it for him. His firm belief that they could still win it reflected in his player’s attitude.
Munaf bowled a great over and Rajasthan Royals won by 2 runs. It was Warne’s day all the way. He took 3 wickets for 24 runs. Those 3 included Sachin and Jayasuriya. Captained brilliantly.
Did someone report that Warne was injured and would not play 10 days? Either they lost count of days or got the news wrong. I did not believe that he had some injury any moment he was on field.
Thank you Warne for continuing to mesmerize us.
