Today’s matches: Battle of Bottom Royale !
Two matches today are between the teams occupying the bottom half of the table. Royal Challengers Vs Knight Riders and Kings XI Vs Mumbai Indians. I fancy Challengers and Kings XI to win.
Any team against Knight Riders is considered favorite. Royal Challengers almost lost their previous match against Knight Riders but for Mark Boucher. It could get interesting and will be a close one.
Whatever little hopes of Challengers making to semifinals rest on this win. So it’s an important match from their perspective.
Kings XI is favorites against Mumbai Indians. They won a close match against Chargers. Bret Lee’s return would give them edge. Only if Piush Chawla does not do the encore of letting the balls slip under his balls. It almost cost them the match.
If Punjab win their chances of making it to semifinals increase while dousing chances of Mumbai.
Can’t see Mumbai and Challengers making the cut. Knight Riders doesn’t need a mention. It’s contest between 5 teams for 4 sports. Rather between 4 teams for 3 sports. Delhi has almost booked their spot.
