Battle between losers !
Match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers is going to to a defining moment of IPL-II. It surely is. It will define either of which team might still have a chance to make it to Semifinals.
Mumbai Indians, if they lose would be out of contention. Miracle or two would be needed. So is the case with Challengers are trying to challenge Knight riders for that ultimate glory of finishing at bottom.
Mumbai team for all their might and money, have disappointed in two consecutive seasons. I am sure this will not go down well with Mukhesh Ambani. The corporate czar hates losing. A head or two might roll.
Challengers promised much only to deceive. You can buy Kevin Pietrsen for huge money only when you are drunk. He did not win or contribute in any way. All he did was find different ways to lose his wicket and match. There is only so much money can buy Mr. Mallya.
Cracker of a match it should turn out to be. Two teams finding better ways to lose matches from where they should force win more often. Two of India’s greatest batsman is an icon player with each team. A legendry spinner and arrogant India spinner who can slap if needed are common themes.
Two of the costliest franchises with high profile owners, wanting to win at all costs. So whichever the team loses should be ready for some explanation to do.
It should be fun.
