Former ICC President: India behind World-cup move from Pakistan

In a serious but very well thought out accusation, former ICC president Eshan Mani accused India’s influencing the world-cup move from Pakistan. AFP reports him as saying the decision was ill conceived and in haste.

Reports claims him stating that security assessment was due on 18 months before the world-cup. In August 2009 not in April. India got a major chunk of the matches moved from Pakistan.

Well the way BCCI is trying to control the cricket world, no one would have any doubts on this. Also there might be political inclination towards it.

It might have been done purely for money. One extra match would get $750,000 more. Advertising on field and on television would generate huge revenues for Indian board. Knowing, how greedy BCCI can get this is easily possible.

Another way to look at it is, even India is not safe. Well that was the concern and reason behind the IPL move to South Africa. So how could you think that the other three hosting countries are safe?

They might be safer than Pakistan, but not so safe in the end!
