Challengers win: Miracles do happen!
Well this has to be a miracle. How else you can explain Challengers winning this match from nowhere. At the tactical commercial break in the second innings, Kings XI was perched on top.
To lose from 70/1against Challengers, it had to be a sloppy effort from Kings XI or a miracle. Both combined and Royal Challengers are suddenly up to 5th place in the point’s table.
Did they not go into match with some chance? Without Kevin Pietersen in the playing eleven, you must fancy your chances to win a twenty20 game. Exactly that’s what happened.
Another matter that Anil Kumble showed his smartness to snare a raging Yuvraj to turn the match on its head.
It’s welcome breather for them. Rahul returning to the next match should add some muscle and teeth to batting. Only if Jesse or Taylor can contribute, team should do well by not ending up at the bottom.
PS: Kumble roared in delight after getting Yuvraj. Later at press conference he said
“ You need to do it sometimes, else they might say you are too old for this format”
