Battle for last Spot: Knight Riders on Top
For me this was the most anticipated match. It had everything. A nail biter with promise of going to the wire. It did go to wire, Provided all the excitement and thrills viewer expects from any Twenty20 match.
Mind you they are in a battle. Battle of getting to the bottom. They are ready to do what it takes to get there.
Few things they have done to try to get bottom faster
Knight Riders:
- Sacking of Ganguly and promoting McCullum as captain of Knight riders.
- Slecting and then making Ajit Agarkar play any matches.
- Trying to implement 4-captain theory to confuse players and lose the match.
- Divide the team by sending players back home after having given them only one chance.
- Having a support staff bigger than the playing members.
- Ensuring a blogger called Fake IPL Player to leak all the secrets to the world.
Royal Challengers:
- Buying Kevin Pietersen for $1.55 million.
- Making him captain. Its hard to say which takes the cake out of these two.
- Playing Jacques Kallis in any matches
- Bringing in Ray no brainer Jennings as coach.
- Swapping of Zaheer for Uthappa.
- Planning to make kallis captain once KP is not available.
Now you tell me who is trying hard to get to the bottom. Royal challengers lost out as they could not compete with Knight Riders and somehow ended up on winning side. So, I am forced to give it to Knight Riders. They had come back into the match from nowhere and still ensured that they lost. You need some skills to do it against an opponent hell bent on trying to lose the matches themselves.
Kudos Knight Riders for winning the losing battle. You deserve the last spot than Challengers.
PS: These are the two teams that suck the most.
