India 2nd in the ICC ODI ranking !
South Africa’s win in the 4th ODI against Australia helped India to move to 2nd place in the ICC ODI ranking. Aussies have been pushed to third place.
India’s placing is the highest ever in ODI rankings and complements its third place in the Reliance Mobile ICC Test Championship.
But despite that bad news for Australia and despite the fact that it is 3-1 down in the five-match series, the touring side still has a huge incentive in Friday’s final match in Johannesburg.
Australia will regain its number two position if it wins the last ODI against South Africa. It will have 123 points, one ahead of India and three behind South Africa.
