Can this Indian team can win anywhere?
Harbhajan Singh claims this Indian team has what it takes to be the world-beaters. In an interview with reuters he said:
"This team is capable of winning anywhere," If we play to our potential, stick to the basics and focus on the job, we have the team that can beat anyone anywhere."
"The guys are confident, confident of performing in any conditions," I think this team can win anywhere — South Africa, Australia — we have got the ability to exploit any conditions."
"Zaheer has bowled beautifully to give India early breakthroughs, Ishant is still raw, and he needs to be focused. He is a talented bowler."
"But a batting line up of Sehwag, Gautam, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman, Yuvraj … I’d say it is one of the best. It’s an exciting team."
The 28-year-old bowler said winning matches overseas has made a big difference and was not ready to compare teams of different eras.
India won a test series New Zealand after four decades. It was also their third successive test series victory since beating top-ranked Australia in November and then England. Now are being considered as elite teams along with Australia and South Africa,
Do I believe in what Bhajii said? Yes and No. This team still has few things to sort out. Fielding is a glaring one. Yuvaraj Singh is yet to establish and prove himself. As seen in the second Test at Napier, Dravid got out and team collapsed like a heap.
Unless they win in South Africa and Australia in their den, you can’t claim to have ability to win everywhere. They have the arsenal but will they win in those 2 toughest countries to tour?
