Sehwag International player of the Year
Virender Sehwag for all his heroics in the past year was selected as the Wisden International player of the year. 4 other players were selected for the coveted list.
- James Anderson (England)
- Mark Boucher (South Africa)
- Neil McKenzie (South Africa)
- Dale Benkenstein(South Africa)
For the first time ever Claire Taylor leading run-scorer of England’s women’s team was selected to the list. 3 out of the 5 players selected were from South Africa. Mighty Aussie do not have a representation - good indication that the slide is imminent.
Coming back to Veeru, Delhi Daredevils will be awfully happy that a war horse like Gambhir and a dynamite like Sehwag are in the team. (source)
