New Zealand Twnety20 World-Cup Squad
New Zealand named their Squad for Twenty20 world cup. Breaking the trend of naming the preliminary squad and pruning it later, New Zealand cricket board has named the final 15 member squad.
New Zealand: Daniel Vettori (captain), Neil Broom, Ian Butler, Brendon Diamanti, James Franklin, Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum, Nathan McCullum, Peter McGlashan, Kyle Mills, Iain O’Brien, Jacob Oram, Jesse Ryder, Scott Styris, Ross Taylor.
World Twenty20 championship is scheduled from June 5-21 in England.
Brendon Diamanti is the only new face. They have surprisingly gambled on the Jacob Oram who is yet to prove his fitness. He is considering pulling out of IPL if he does not get through the New Zealand domestic game. Scott Styris comes back into side after injury lay-off.
