Australian Coaches and Sourav Ganguly
Great chemistry between Sourav Ganguly and Australian Coaches continues. Love hate relationship between them does not seem to end. First it was Guru Greg and now John Buchanan. Sourav got Greg as coach against wishes of all his mates. They did not gel well at all. John Buchanan coach of Kolkata Knight Riders is no saint either. He has had clashes with Shane Warne for his tactics.
John Buchanan successfully stripped captaincy from Sourav. Brought in his multiple captains theory. Sourav stated in press conference which both addressed together.
“All I can say is that I was not consulted on this. Frankly, it’s a new concept. It may work, it may not."
John Buchanan has now claims that Sourav knew about the multiple captains as he had discussed about it. He also claimed to have discussed Sourav’s future role during first edition of IPL.
So we might have one more episode similar to Greg –Sourav’s. Only common thread is Sourav. Australian coaches have a common quality to instigate Sourav in someway or the other. Sourav is more of autocratic mindset. Australians are more open and try different ideas out sort of guys.
Lets hope this does not end up like earlier episodes.
