Why do we need the extra time?

We are 1 week short, any reduction in number of games?
- It will be a 5 week affair with 59 games
- 2 games will be played on weekdays - 22 days will have 2 games each.

What about the franchise owners ?
- The differential costs incurred by the team owners because of IPL moving to South Africa will be paid back by IPL to the owners
What about cheerleaders?
