India end 33 year drought !
It seems this team is hell bent on conquering all that comes in its path in all formats of cricket. They have a very good bowling attack to supplement probably the best batting line up in the current era capable of turning impossible to possible.
India won a test in New Zealand after 33 years. I don’t think that was a great statistic to be owned but if you look at the number of times India tours this beautiful country you might not feel too ashamed either.
Pleasing thing about the victory was all-round effort. Not individual brilliance. Yes there were exceptional performances. Look at the number of decent contributions. Fours bowlers took 3,4,5 and 7 wickets each. There was 1 near half century, three half centuries and a big hundred.
It has been the case and hence the more often have victories come on its way. Its not dependent on 1-2 members anymore.
Kudos to the team. Lets get that elusive series win not achieved here in last 41 years
PS: India toured New Zealand first time in 1967-68. Since then they have toured only 7 times including the current tour. So in 40 odd years if you tour only 6 times, that’s a low frequency and records attached to it don’t hold much regard.
