Delhi and Jaipur will miss IPL?
According to latest information from NDTV, IPL has submitted a new revised (only 3rd time)schedule. Delhi and Jaipur will not host any matches. Not surprising!
Take a look at ruling parties in those states. You would know this is underarm delivery by another IPL – Indian Political League. There were plans from BJP more so from Arun Jaitley to try and have as many matches as possible held at venues where BJP is ruling.
If they are successful in getting their way, it could be used for political mileage. Well, there will many unhappy cricket lovers who would vote against incumbent, may be! Smart move BJP and Lalit Modi. Only thing, it might backfire as well.
Many state governments seems have okayed the newly revised schedule. We will have to wait until home ministry comes back with approval or asks IPL to revise it again.
