Blood,Bone cracking and Test cricket !

smithwincing Its always good to watch a young fiery fast bowler with his tail up bowling to couple of best batsmen of his era !  Nothing beats if he comes up with their broken fingers and bloodied chins. Its sight I have yearned to see for a long time.

Too many things in favor of batsman reducing bowlers to pack of the crowd than the main players. Way cricket is loaded in favor of batsman might be stopping aspiring cricketers from becoming bowlers.

I like it when a bowler puts a batsman to a thorough test of his abilities. Shame if batsman are not equipped to handle whatever is thrown at them with all covering that  they come to crease with. kallis hit

Mitchell Johnson provided great joy of watching sight of, Jaques Kallis with blood pouring all over and Graeme Smith wincing and writhing in pain due a broken finger. They are two top order batsmen. Test cricket gives you that high. Think what would have happened to these men, when there were no helmets and pitches were uncovered.

Earlier in the day Dale Steyn had peppered  Michael Hussey with bouncers and hit him on helmet. He sprinkled liberal dose of words too. It was a ripping spell to breathe life into waning South African attack. Result: last 6 wickets added only 50 runs in first Australian innings.

done and busted Two menacing fast bowlers, Steyn and Johnson are two top ranked bowlers. Yesterday they showed us why. It would be good, when Bret Lee comes back. Indian attack is good too with Zaheer and Ishant. Batsmen must be on their toes for some time.

As I am writing this, New Zealand are in hot pursuit of 392 against India. Indian ground fielding and catching has been pathetic. 2 sitters have been dropped. Dhoni, whom I never fancy as a better keeper just dropped a sitter and Jessy Rider is cashing on ! NZ 106/0 at 15 Overs.

PS: Steve Buckner will be gone after this series. Time to rejoice.
