BCCI or Uncle SAM of Cricket ?

phpThumb_generated_thumbnailjpg BCCI stands for Board of Control for Cricket in India. Each passing day unfolds one more event where board behaves in arrogant, stupid way. It could be right time to rename it “Uncle SAM of Cricket”

If you are the richest cricketing body in world bossing around will work. Till one or 2-3 boards stand up to the BCCI bullying. Out come will be disaster for cricket. Contributing highest revenues to ICC does not mean ruling the world cricket too. ICC is UNO of cricket a toothless entity.

Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh karthik withdrew from playing in friendly T20 match in New Zealand. Reason: Hamish Marshall one of the participant was an ICL player. What would have happened if they had played? Nothing, as hardly anyone was aware of it. For BCCI it’s a big deal.

ICL was giving domestic players a chance to interact with international cricketers. That is no sin. So why no one is protesting by letting ICL players play in their domestic circuit?  Might of money is such that all boards and ICC kneel down in front of BCCI. Not a word was said when great cricketer like Kapil Dev was removed from the pensions Indian board gives. It should sum up the situation

What length will it go? Will board interfere with daily lives of people involved with ICL? Stop being bully. World will change, mightiest have fallen. When BCCI falls there will be no helping hand. Hope someone within BCCI is listening and tries to bring some sense to functioning of board.
