India loses first T-20 in NZ.
India’s campaign in NZ has started with a loss. NZ won first T-20 match with 7 wickets and 7 balls to spare. Grounds here are small, so sixes are easy to hit compared to Australia or SA. It rained sixes and fours. India scored 13 sixes and 6 fours, New Zealand 11 sixes and 10 fours. In total 24 sixes and 17 fours. Every penny’s worth for spectators.
So far the highest number of sixes in a match was 20, between Australia and India at Durban in T-20 world cup. It was cleared comfortably. Lets get warmed up for next match. These is every possibility that this record will be broken.
One more observation is in both innings the number of fours were less than sixes. My strong guess its not happened so far. It has never happened in a T-20 International where total number of fours are less than sixes where minimum of 15 sixes were hit in a match.
