Buzz in cricket world !
ICC, ICL & BCCI discussion that was held in cape town last night has been unsuccessful. It was bound to fail. I was not expecting any miracles to happen. Knowing how ruthless & senseless BCCI this was expected. Now where does that leave the ICL? The request will still be with ICC for further considerations in April. This isn’t happening soon.
A painting based on Rahul Dravid’s nickname “The Wall” was sold for US$115,800 at modern & contemporary auction in Mumbai. Atul Dodiya, the artist, has dedicated it to Dravid. Now Dravid might come up with few master classes of his own in his favorite NZ and return the favor.
How many of you are aware about test between SriLanka & Pakistan? Don’t worry even not many in Pakistan know about it and no one is keen to follow it. Add to it a lifeless pitch where in 4 days of play has seen only 12 wickets fall for around 1200 runs. Lottery wont work. PCB is utterly useless, uncompetitive body. Only Allah can help them now.
Stanford’s buddy Mr. Giles Clarke has been re-elected as chairman of ECB. Now if there is competition for PCB it comes from ECB and WICB. They are in a close race. How stupid of 41 members of ECB to allow this to happen. There were calls for his head but he will remain in office till 2011 March. I am hoping for another scandal or two soon, with this brash businessman at helm. It all started with allowing Mr. Stanford to land on hollowed turf of Lords in his helicopter.
