Remaining matches and their relavance
We are reaching the finale and we already have 2 semi-finalists. 3 teams are still fighting it out for the other 2 spots. Today’s match between Daredevils and Mumbai Indians is a key clash with Daredevils wanting to win to stay in the competition. If Daredevils lose they are out of the tournament. If they win Super Kings have to win their match against Deccan Chargers. Lets look at the remaining 6 matches and their relavance.
- Deccan Chargers vs Royal Challengers on 25th May - Inconsequential. If they are fighting for supremacy amongst themselves they can do it.
- Kings XI Punjab vs Knight Riders on 25th May –Inconsequential. Knight Riders will play for pride and Punjab for supremacy.
- Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians on 26th May — Very crucial match. Possibly a rehearsal of semi-final. Mumbai Indians want to win this match to cement their place in the semi-final if they lose today against Daredevils.
- Deccan Chargers vs Super Kings on 27th May — Do or die for Super Kings. They have to win this.
- Rajasthan Royals vs Kings XI Punjab on 28th May — Inconsequential but a potential rehearsal of the grand finale.
- Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers on 28th May — Important for Mumbai and not so for Royal Challengers.
