The Shah Rukh dug-out episode
First, the officials ban Shah Rukh from entering into the player’s dressing room and dug-out. Shah Rukh is upset about it and makes serious public statements that no one can seperate him from his team. Ganguly backs Shah Rukh. Buchanan says having Shah Rukh in the dressing room actually helps the team. Aamir Khan says Shah Rukh is licking his toe and is begging for his attention. Then comes the hero of IPL, no not Gautam Gambhir, its Lalit Modi. He says that one member of franchise is allowed to sit in the dug-out. He will be given a red badge. In the midst of it there is the anti-corruption camp. They think that having Shah Rukh in the dug-out will change the fortune of the match. What if Shah Rukh is not present? Will it be any different. If so, was Shah Rukh present at all the matches which were fixed. I don’t think so.
Just when someone from the media or IPL thought that we are not getting our dose of controversy they spotted Shah Rukh in the dug-out and picked that up. Then came the code of conduct and stuff. Really, what is really wrong with Shah Rukh being in the dug-out or cheering his team from the boundary line. It just says that he is serious about his team and he wants to win. Maybe, he is working on a script for his next movie. Just leave Shah Rukh alone will ya. He is already in a rough patch.
On a funny note, Shah Rukh says, “I like to hang out with the boys“. That’s what Michael Jackson said remember. I am not saying anything. That is just an uncanny resemblance.
Oh Yeah! I forgot. Shah Rukh is Knight Riders 12th man.
