What should Deccan Chargers do?
This is the only team if plays well could be unbeatable. But, that has not happened so far. Reasons are multi-fold but if the following things are taken care of, they might be back to their winning ways.
- Shahid Afridi should open the innings. It is only 20 overs match and most of the shots Afridi plays fall just short of boundary rope. If he comes late in the innings they will end up in the fielders hands. If he opens the innings he will have 6 overs to have fun. That would really turn the match for them. Afridi in any other batting position below 2 is wasted.
- Rohit Sharma should be batting at No.4.
- Laxman should come ahead of Rohit Sharma but behind Gilchrist, Gibbs and Afridi.
- Drop the player who neither bats nor bowls. Yadav is the player who was neither batting nor bowling. I am not sure why is he in the team. Drop him now.
- Afridi should open the innings. I know i repeated it, but it was deliberate.
