New rule : Watching cheerleaders is optional

That is true. If you know that it is optional, where is the fuss about cheerleaders not right for India coming from. Well, Shahid Afridi might be a nut job who thinks cheerleaders are distracting. More than a distraction that’s an excuse for Afridi. How can you extrapolate it as a general view. What exactly is the difference between cheerleaders and our heroine’s in bollywood movies or any other movies. Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, why don’t you force every bollywood movie to have a bhangra theme in the background, foreground and also the name of the movie would contain the name Bhangara. Here are some examples :

  1. Om Bhangra Om
  2. Bhangra Zameen Par
  3. Chak De Bhangra
  4. Life in Bhangra
  5. Bhangra Bulayya

You get the idea don’t you. Well, computer is not Indian culture, we are using it aren’t we. TV is not indian culture why are we seeing it. Coke is not Indian, neembu paani is. Why not ban coke? More than anything else mentioned so far, cricket itself is not Indian culture. Far from it, it is imported or left behind our rulers of 200 years, The British. Why do you accept cricket as a religion? Why not gilli-danda? Just because some girls are not able to bear the heat of the summer and dressed up accordingly, doesn’t mean that you are gonna ban them. Well cheerleading is optional too for the girls. The girls in questions are american girls. Whoever forced them to cheerleading? None. If it is their adult choice then what is your problem in life? Why are you not against prostitution where most of them are forced into it? Is prostitution Indian culture? I guess not. I can go on with this tirade but please divert your attention to more pertinent issues which will benefit the general public. I have a list. I hope you will be interested.

  1. Inflation. Its at record 7.61%.
  2. Global warming. Yes, its real and it is hear to stay unless we act.
  3. Infrastructure (roads, water, power, airports, ports etc.,).
  4. Food security.
  5. Quest for natural resources. China is already ahead of us. We need to feed 1.2 billion people and we have to strike some alliances with African nations and latin american nations for several natural resources and most importantly oil.

This list is not exhaustive by any means but you get the idea.

The cheerleaders were shown only for 2 seconds on TV. If you think the cameraman is going too deep, you need question that particular act. Not the whole process. The newspapers have them on the front-page. Now, can you ban those newspapers for indecency? These poor cheerleaders have every right to do whatever they are doing. They are here to entertain. If you don’t know the difference between a bar girl and cheerleader, maybe you are not qualified to talk about values and culture.

PS : Have you watched Kareena Kapoor in Tashan. She is hot and she is Indian too. Take that for culture and values. Now, let me watch my IPL with my redskins.
