Sajid Mahmood too declines IPL offer
English cricketer Sajid Mahmood has also declined IPL offer. Sajid is not centrally contracted by the Enlish board. He is the second person to reject an IPL offer after Ravi Bopara. The reason for rejecting the offer is to cement his place in the national side. Now, that’s two in row, which makes me think that something is amiss. Why would you want to reject an offer and tell that in public? Giving the reason that you want to cement your place in the side even though you have a lucrative offer makes your board cringe for you? I am really not sure. Especially when Kevin Pietersen and openly said that he wanted to play in IPL and almost was in loggerheads with his board.
Please Sajid you might have come up with a differen reason. Something like “I dont like cheerleaders. Or this game is not serious”. You might had huge support and fan following.
