Rajastan Royals no match for Delhi Daredevils
This match was soporofic. I was eagerly waiting for this match to start expecting the Daredevils would bat first. That did not happen. I continued to watch it expecting some young talent to rock the party from Rajastan Royals. But that did not happen either. What happened is Royals kept loosing wickets at regular intervals and posted a paltry 129. Other thing which happened at the same time is I missed watching my favorite show on TV, MTV Roadies.
Needing 130 to win from 120 balls, what Royals needed were a bunch of a hat tricks and Viru to run his partners out. That did not happen either. Viru started off in his trademark style with 3 consecutive fours and got out, also in his trademark style - inside edge. After that its upto the specialist Gautam Gambhir to wrap things up. He did it in style. I think Gautam Gambhir is the most underrated and over-performed player in the T20 circuit. He does not take the match away from you in an over or two like Brendon McCullum or Hussey but he is consistent. Viru is lucky to have Gautam Gambhir in his team.
Akshay Kumar did his stunts and tried his luck with commentary. The only thing is he did not have anything to comment about. As I have mentioned earlier the match was soporofic.
Daredevils won by 9 wickets.
